Pro-Am Competitions - NOK 100 per amateur

Starting from 2015, Winter White WCS now offers Pro-Am competitions. The term "Pro-Am" is an abbreviation for "Professional-Amateur", and refers to a student partnering with his/her teacher for a contest.

All couples must consist of one professional dancing with one amateur. The definitions are as follows:

A professional is defined as a dancer who makes a sizeable portion of their income from performing or teaching dance. Sizeable is a relative term; earnings of over 50% of one's total income is suggested as an indicator of professional status.
An amateur is defined as someone who does not teach dancing on a regular, ongoing basis, or makes a significant income (50% or more) from teaching dance.

Pro-Am Competition rules

2. No acrobatic moves, or lifts - but drops, slides, leverages are permitted.
3. No choreography.
4. Couples dance to about 1½ minutes of a song appropriate for their division. The music is chosen by the DJ.
