Bryn Anderson is a passionate dancer and an all-star/champion in West Coast Swing. She started competing five years ago at the age of 12, but has enjoyed dancing in a variety of styles from a very young age. She has studied ballet, jazz, and contemporary, as well as international latin. West Coast Swing, though, occupies a special place in her heart.
An accomplished competitor, Bryn earned 3rd Place Follower on the 2016 NASDE All-Star Jack & Jill Tour and has more recently placed at several events at the champion level. She has been a top competitor in elimination style tournaments as well, taking 4th place overall in the Swing 16 National Tournament and 1st in a number of more local tournaments. She has taught in the Houston area since 2014, and is happy to be teaching around the U.S. and in Europe in the coming year. Her quality of movement, stage presence, and musicality are her calling cards. She owes much of her style in swing to her Latin training and to her coaching from Ben Morris, Kyle Redd, and Arjay Centeno.
Having just graduated from high school, Bryn will be taking a gap year before entering college. In that year, she is excited to more fully devote her time and energies to West Coast Swing and pursue dance as a part of her professional life. She looks forward to stretching her wings in the dance world, and is eager to give back to a community that she loves so much.
